Duel 53 series- M10 Tank Destroyer vs StuG III Assault Gun: Germany 1944 by Steven J. Zaloga

The US M10 Gun Motor Carriage (GMC) and the Germans’ Sturmgeschutz (StuG) III were the unsung workhorses of the battlefields of North West Europe in 1944-45. The StuG III was a low-slung, turretless vehicle, initially intended to provide direct fore support for infantry formations but later upgunned and used against enemy armor. By 1944 the M10, originally developed as a tank destroyer but vulnerable to superior German tank firepower, was being employed in the infantry-support role. These two armored fighting vehicles clashed repeatedly during the 11-month campaign that saw the Allies advance from Normandy to the heart of the Reich, notably in the Aachen sector in October 1944. Fully illustrated with specially commissioned artwork, this is the story of their confrontation at the height of World War II.

This book is approx. 9-3/4” x 7-1/4” and has 80 pages.
